OVERVIEW

You can see the Delta or you can experience the 3 days 2 nighs tour in Mekong Delta” If you want to get a glimpse into the real life of a Vietnamese in the Mekong Delta, this two-day tour is a must do. From the countryside around the city of Can Tho you can visit the famous Cai Rang floating market, enjoy a typical Vietnamese family dinner and relax in the garden of the beautifully situated homestay.

DAY 1: CYCLING AROUND VILLAGES – COOKING CLASS

Please note that the tour starts in Can Tho. If you are travelling from Ho Chi Minh City, I can help you book transportation to Can Tho from HCMC at 9:00 A.M.

The limousine ticket costs 270,000 VND per person per way, while the FUTA bus ticket costs 185,000 VND per person per way. For both options, you will need to go to the operator’s meeting point to board the bus.
If you prefer a more convenient option, I can arrange a private car to pick you up at your hotel or requested address in Ho Chi Minh City and take you directly to Can Tho. The private car costs 1,400,000 VND per car per way.

12:00 AM, Arriving at the bus station in Can Tho city, the driver or guide will pick you up from the bus station and transfer to homestay.

12:30 PM, Check in your homestay and have a nice local Vietnamese lunch.

13:30 PM, Take a break.

14:00 PM, You will take the bikes to explore the area so you can see the real local life with different types of farming, various plant and fruit garden and of course plenty of rice fields….

We then visit a Khmer temple of over 350 years old where you will learn more about Buddhism religion and Khmer culture and life

05:30 PM, You can see sunset at the homestay if it is not cloudy

At 06:00 PM, we start join in preparing dinner. After dinner, you can enjoy a quiet and relaxing envening right in the heart of the Mekong for a perfect local feel.Homestay

DAY 2: CAN THO – SON ISLET – LINH NGOC HOANG

08:00 AM, your personal guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to the Binh Thuy for Con Son islet community-based tourism.

Can Tho floating fish farm

To begin Con Son islet tour, nothing can be as great as taking a boat sightseeing Can Tho Floating fish farm on Hau river. The river reflects the ups and downs of the fish farming village which has long been famous in the area. The locals made their floating house in the river for both living and fishing. Take a boat trip and go along the river, you see how the floating life happens and how the locals take care of their fish farm. Visitors can take leisure time to interact with the fisherman to learn about different interesting colorful freshwater fish and unlock the secrets of the river habitats on the Mekong river as well.

Con Son fruit garden

Visit the Con Son fruit garden where the fruit-picking experience is, you will enter the garden with the Con Son people to visit the garden and eat fruit in the garden. But not the type of climbing freely picking and eating. But Con Son still gives you a feeling of picking the fruits (seasonal) and eaten fruits (rambutans, guava, rose apple…) right in the gardens.

The Flying Snakehead Fish Show

Get to another local house for the Flying Snakehead Fish show. On Son islet, snakehead fish are very interesting, the locals can train them to fly high, beautiful, and simultaneously to grab the bait, but it takes a lot of practice.

Homemade traditional cakes

Visit one more local house for the homemade traditional cakes. Join hands with the locals to make cakes (sometimes) and enjoy the typical local family in the Can Tho traditional house and garden.

Back to the mainland

Take the boat trip from Son islet to the mainland.

DAY 3 : CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET – CACAO FARM – HCM

05:30 AM, Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to the boat.

Discover the Cai Rang floating market, a colourful, buzzing market with hundreds of boat vendors selling fruits, vegetables & hot food from sunrise to late morning. Cruise down the Mekong River to witness the local village lifestyle and walking in the countryside for fresh air.

Visit the rice noodle family factory – This traditional noodle oven has been around for a long time. Coming here, you will visit the stages of making noodle soup from cooking rice paper from flour, drying, cutting into noodles and other stages

Water coconut cannal and walk in the peaceful villages, tropical orchards, countryside roads. Stop and pass by “monkey bridges.

Visit the organic cacao farm where the guide will tell you interesting stories about cacao and Mr. Cacao and how to make chocolates, wines, cosmetics…Have a glass of cacao milk and can taste cacao wine.
