Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho
08:00 AM – Pick-up from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City by private car. Travel for approximately two hours through rice fields and countryside villages to My Tho, one of the gateways to the Mekong Delta.
- Cruise along the Tien River to Unicorn Islet. Walk through a peaceful village, taste seasonal tropical fruits and enjoy traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music.
- Visit a local bee farm, enjoy honey tea and learn more about rural life. Guests may also have an opportunity to take photos with a python.
- Enjoy lunch in a peaceful orchard, where traditional Mekong Delta dishes are served in a shaded garden.
- Continue to Ben Tre Province, known as the land of coconuts, and visit a family workshop to learn how traditional coconut candy is made.
- Take a relaxing sampan ride through narrow canals shaded by water coconut palms.
In the late afternoon, transfer to Can Tho. Check in at your hotel and enjoy the evening at your leisure.
Day 2: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Cacao Farm – Ho Chi Minh City
05:30 AM – Depart by boat at sunrise to explore Cai Rang Floating Market, one of the Mekong Delta’s best-known river markets. Observe local traders exchanging fruits, vegetables and other goods between boats.
Enjoy a traditional breakfast on the river, with options such as noodle soup, coffee or fresh fruit.
Visit a family-run rice noodle workshop to observe the traditional noodle-making process and learn about this local craft.
Continue by sampan through peaceful small canals for a closer look at the authentic rural life, tropical vegetation and riverside villages of the Mekong Delta.
Visit a local cacao farm for a walk through the plantation. Learn how cacao is grown and transformed into chocolate and other products, followed by a tasting of homemade cacao products.
At approximately 11:00 AM, return to Can Tho and enjoy lunch at 12:00 PM.
At 1:30 PM, depart from Can Tho by bus for Ho Chi Minh City, arriving in the late afternoon.
