If you want to get a glimpse into the real life of a Vietnamese in the Mekong Delta, this two-day tour is a must do.
From the countryside around the city of Can Tho you can visit the famous Cai Rang floating market, enjoy a typical Vietnamese family dinner and relax in the garden of the beautifully situated homestay.
DAY 1 : CYCLING – COOKING CLASS
09:00 AM,
- You can take a bus to Can Tho. I will help you to buy bus ticket. Limousine ticket is 270.000vnd/way/pax. Futa bus ticket is 185.000vnd/way/pax. However, you go with bus or limousine, you have to come to their meeting point to get on.
- If you need private car, please let me know. I can offer you the private car with the price is 1.400.000vnd/way/car.
12:00 AM, Arriving at the bus station in Can Tho city, the driver or guide will pick you up from the bus station and transfer to rustic homestay.
12:30 PM, Check in your homestay and have a nice local Vietnamese lunch.
14:00 PM, You will take the bikes to explore the area so you can see the real local life with different types of farming, various plant and fruit garden and of course plenty of rice fields….
Cycling Around Village
We then visit a Khmer temple of over 350 years old where you will learn more about Buddhism religion and Khmer culture and life.
We then make our way to the local market to shop for our dinner and return to the homestay.
05:30 PM, You can see sunset at the homestay if it is not cloudy.
06:00 PM, We start join in cooking dinner.
After dinner, you can enjoy a quiet and relaxing evening right in the heart of the Mekong for a perfect local feel.
DAY 2 : CAN THO – FLOATING MARKET
05:30 AM, Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to the boat.
- Arrive at Cai Rang floating market – a must thing to see in Can Tho.
- Your guide will explain things about the history of the market, the local life on the river.
- Enjoy Vietnamese breakfast and the fresh pineapple on the floating boat.
Visit the rice noodle family factory
This traditional noodle oven has been around for a long time.
Coming here, you will visit the stages of making noodle soup from:
- cooking rice paper from flour
- drying
- cutting into noodles
- other stages
Explore small canals
Your guide will share a lot of information about the region and local life.
Visit the organic cacao farm
The guide will tell you interesting stories about cacao and Mr. Cacao and how to make:
- chocolates
- wines
- cosmetics
Have a glass of cacao milk and taste cacao wine.
11:30 AM, Transfers back and have lunch.
12:00 PM, End your tour.
